Attorneys
Hugh Mayo joined Wilkes Artis in 2025 as an associate with the Maryland practice group. He focuses on supporting attorneys with commercial real estate tax appeals at all three administrative levels in Maryland and appellate courts.
Prior to joining Wilkes Artis, Hugh was an Assistant General Counsel for the D.C. Department of Buildings where he handled appeals to the Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA), Real Property Tax Appeal Commission (RPTAC), and hundreds of Construction Code enforcement cases before the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). After graduating law school, he worked in the general counsel’s office for the Mayor of Washington D.C. as a Beverly Perry Fellow.
Hugh received his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center and his bachelor’s magna cum laude from Harvard University. He is an active participant in the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization.
